QUESTION MEME KINDA!!!

Except mostly I have a hankering to sort characters into Sabra teams/nations.

If you didn't play/stalk Sabra, there were 17 regular teams (plus one special enforcement team split three ways). Each team tended to have a general personality you can reads about here.

Those sixteen teams were also the basis of the sixteen nations of the world's history. (ICly it's the reverse of that: the old nations were the basis of the teams.) You can see info on the nations here. Basically every nation was it's own super special snowflake, from the Steampunk Atheist Bibliocracy, to ~Crystal Towers~ full of sketchy political intrigue, nomadic desert mages, crazy swamp jerks, THERE ARE MANY OPTIONS.

ANYWAY IF YOU COMMENT HERE I will sort your character(s) into teams and/or nations at your preference. (Normally a team and nation would have the same answer buuuuut)

Also I will then ask you a question I guess. I just want to do some Sabra sorting y'all.

OK FOR TEAMS RIGHT OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD I wanna say Vulpecula, because they tend to have her kind of awful luck, also without knowing the character too well, I think she would have been pretty suited for their style of disgruntled codependence. Cygnus would also be a good choice, because they tend to be of kind of dubious morality? But also they tended to be really competent in some venue, so she might have developed inferiority feelings there. She also may have done well in Canis, which was a sort of noble but hard-luck team, that liked to deal heavily in morality. Also there were a lot of mind-power people there, so they might have been well suited to help her out.

AS FOR OLD SABRA, I ttttthiiiiink I want to stick with Cygnus, where she probably would have been horribly taken advantage of by the ruing class :'D

I JUST LOVE OLD LACERTA. Like. Fffff. Country full of my fucking pings. I love that she is so smiley and happy and none of that's a lie! She is genuinely nice! But also she has the capacity to wig so far out. Or she has the capacity to be fairly easy going and chill. She's got nature pings and mythology pings and insanity and sketchy sibling relationships.

BUT TBH (in case it's not obvious) I fucking love every team and country. From time to time I think about making apping Old Sabra OCs that have nothing to do with any canon characters or established CR. I have little decently formed ideas for a Delphinus woman, a Canis boy, and like at least three Pyxis kids. It's an issue.

OK WELL SINCE YOU ARE THE ONE ASKING, I think Kalidas probably would have been loved (but maybe a little feared) in Pavo. GREAT FOR CREATIVITY!! but please do not let fire near the capitol city :<. Obviously Lacerta would love her and would have long festivals where people would spend hours and hours making murals and sculptures and all kinds of art.

THEN BURN THEM ALL AND HAVE AN ORGY.

Team-wise I think she would have liked Pyxis a lot too, maybe Cetus? Like while neither of those teams did a lot of creating they were DERPED AS HELL.

HAHA YES IT IS PRETTY MUCH SPOT ON. I WAS actually thinking she would bounce between Pavo and Lacerta, the former because she's attracted to their passion for creation (and mild but endearing insanity) and the latter because if anyone is willing to have a paper-mache dong festival in her name...

She would have been TOTAL BROS with Pyxis, probably still liked to ceiling cat Lacerta and Pavo...and probably would have tormented/scandalized the living shit out of Delphinus.

Leedin as a god probably would have been most respected in Canis, Ursa, Delphinus, other highly organized but still reverent nations. AS A CHARACTER I imagine she would be an Ophiuchus dedicated to Kolotha, probably originally from Ursa.

Tim I thiiiiink. Hmm. Team-wise he would have been a good fit for a few places. I feeeeeel like probably Vulp would have been the right choice? For disgruntled jokers who are also horribly damaged. Yeah I think that's the right choice. Old Sabra Tim was probably a Vulp that wandered away from his clan at a young age, dicked around the countryside for a while, maybe hooked up to punch crime with a disgruntled Ophiuchus!Bruce??? And then got kidnapped by some SKETCH AS FUCK LEPUS CULTISTS. Bad times.

I DON'T REALLY KNOW SENJI AT ALL. What's his deal? Likes to hit things, awkward around girls? I would probably put him on Pyxis.

Diarmuid goes straight to Canis. Tries hard to be a noble decent upstanding warrior, gets shit on constantly anyway for no particular reason. The harder he tries to be honorable, the more he gets shit on. CANIS. The only reason I wouldn't put him in old Canis automatically is that I'm not sure they necessarily have a night structure. Corvus maybe?

Actually, come to think of it, he could have fit really well on Corvus as well, since that's sort of. Super Loyal Minion team. But I think maybe we wouldn't put him on Corvus because he would have been too happy there. |D GO SUFFER WITH THE TEAM FULL OF DECENT PEOPLE.

Tare. Hmm, Tare is hard to place. While flowers and courtship say Lacerta, they are also a little . . . explicit. So maybe more like Pavo, which is very big on aesthetics? Cygnus too. :|a Hmm. She's probably respected in a very sort of formalized way in Delphinus as well.

I LOVE OLD VULPECULA so damn much. I love the world. I LOVE ALL OF THE MYTHOLOGY AND THE FANTASY AND ALL OF THE ROOM TO HEADCANON and just the fact that it feels like there's a slice of it that's all mine. I love the freedom that I have to twist and mold Aella's character, without having to think about Yuffie or Trixie. I LOVE PLAYING AN OC; I've never really done it before and now that I've started, it's kind of addictive. I MAY EVEN EVENTUALLY GET AROUND TO APPING SEREN/old Sabra Lumiére, because Ursa is also awesome and badass and fascinating to me. Have you read our amazingly disorganized gdoc?

Maybe it just seems this way because of how much Aella took charge, but it really does feel fairly Vulpeculan to me. Well no it feels like a totally rag-tag family was put together by a Vulpeculan. WHICH IS IS. I don't think I could ever see Aerta as anything but Lacertan though. She's too . . . Lacertan.
